Keeping in touch with your customers from time to time goes a long way.
Sending a card on the holidays makes a difference. Every 90 days or so I try to set some time aside to call on current customers and check in with them to see how their business is going. Just to keep in touch and let them know I'm available if needed.
I have a database of my customers and every year when I send cards on the holidays, it always amazes me that I get some feedback from many who are so appreciative to be remembered. It made them happy to know that I remembered them, and it made me feel good to hear that they really liked hearing from me. Over time they will give you referrals and you may be able to give them referrals too.
So it's a win win situation all the way around. |
