| Tue May 09, 2006 6:25 pm CHALLENGE #3: PARENT INVOLVEMENT |
|
|
To all parents who have a child/children in school:
I want to challenge you to visit that school at least twice this year and observe what is going on in the classroom. Visit for more than an hour.
If you see areas for improvement, tell somebody, and by all means tell them if they are doing a good job. Join the PTA and stay close to what is going on.
To all parents of preschool children....
I want to challenge you to visit the school your child will be attending, and see where you can get involved. Write to your governor.
To all teachers....
I want to challenge you to do something new that you have never done this school yr. in your classroom. Also, communicate with your parents as much as possible. |

Wonderful advice,
I myself show up at least once a month. This is what my mother did for me. I am very active in the PTA and hold a chair on the board. I love the fact that my son is terrified of doing anything wrong, cause he thinks I am right around the corner! :D
Great advice! |
